Does Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy have to be read in order ? ?

I've started with the girl who played with fire accidentaly ! I'm half way through before I realised its the second book .. Idiot right ?





Anyways, do the stories interlink or doesn't it matter what the order is ?





Cheers|||The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest doesn't make sense unless you've read The Girl Who Played With Fire first.





But you can read The Girl Who Played With Fire without reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and still understand the story. There are references back to things that happen in the first book, but they're all explained.





The only thing is that if you now go back and read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, a lot of the suspense in that novel will be lost, because you'll know that certain characters are still alive and so on. But it will still make sense.|||Read it any way you want! As long as you enjoy it!|||they should be read in order
