I just finish the Stieg Larsson books (The girl with the dragon tattoo...etc.) and i was looking for books maybe not exactly similar but something just as dark. I have heard of henning mankell and other swedish artist, which didn't really get me hooked. I'm just looking for some more along the lines of horror i guess or more of a grim story rather then just a detective mystery.|||hmmm... I was going to suggest Mankell and Jo Nesbo. Maybe Starvation Lake by Brian Gruley or else his new one, The Hanging Tree. . . maybe Tana French's new one, The Faithless Place or Into the Woods. . . Dennis Lehane's Shutter Island or Mystic River.
